Once a month, SPR's Confirmation Class joins with other Confirmation groups from our various neighbor congregations for "DeepDive." This is simply a time to be together for fun, learning, and service.
When children are brought to the saving waters of baptism, their families and sponsors make promises on their behalf. Part of this life of baptism is continued reflection on the Christian faith as well as engagement with the Christian tradition. Confirmation - grades 7, 8, and 9 - takes up this task in a three-year cycle specifically designed to emphasize fluency with the biblical story, familiarity and grounding in the Lutheran tradition, and service to neighbor. This program is free and open to all, and you do not need to be a member of St. Paul-Reformation to participate. In cases where a person is not baptized, Confirmation ministry can lead to baptism.
